Lawn Fawn 'Happy Mail' Mail Box Flip-its Circle Birthday Card

 Another of my new stash items (see below!) is this 'Happy Mail' mail box die set from Lawn Fawn - I absolutely fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! It's actually quite a simple set because the main body of the box is all one piece.
 I used the Sizzix Circle Flip-its 4 for the card base - another all-time favourite die set.

The papers I used for the mail box and mini envelope are from my new 6x6 paper pad - 'Fabulous' from Authentique. The other papers are older American Crafts ones.

Sizzix & Cricut Pop-Up Tractor Christening Card

 This probably isn't your typical Christening card, but I was asked to make it by my farmer friend who's friends have decided to have their little boy Christened. I used the Sizzix Pop n Cuts Horizontal A2 Card with Circle Label for the base, and a tractor from the Cricut Boys Will Be Boys cartridge. For the background I used Papertrey Ink clouds, sun from L'il Inkers, and the stitched hills and cloud layer from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set . I printed out the sentiment and used some Sizzix Framelits for the sentiment layers.

Pop It Ups Butterfly Pivot Card (Elizabeth Craft Designs) & Paris Edges

Here's a card which was made for Karen Burniston's Elizabeth Craft Designs stand at the recent CHA show. I used Karen's Butterfly Pivot Card die set, to cut the moving butterflies, and large butterfly decorative layers. I also used Karen's new Paris Edges set for the lovely doily-like floral edges. I used the Butterfly Accessory Dies set to create the almost embossed look of the butterfly background. It's easiest to stick wide Elizabeth Craft Design double-sided tape to the card stock before die cutting the little delicate butterflies, so they are made into stickers, rather than doing lots of fiddly glueing. And the front of the card with some ribbon, paper flowers and metal butterflies added. All the papers are from First Edition's Bella Rose collection. Some of the products used:

Thinking of You Circle Pull Card, with homemade Embossing Paste, and some new stash...

I attended the funeral of my friend's mother last week, and made this card for my friend. It was a lovely day - sad of course, but simple and genuine and sweet. For the card, I used the Circle Pull Card on some plain white cardstock, and made my own embossing paste ( here is my previous tutorial for this  - it's really easy), which I used with Tim Holtz's Flourish Stencil. For the centre circle, I used gold heat embossing powder, with VersaMark ink and a Stampin' Up stamp. I used Copic pen in the Copic Airbrush, to spray pink around the edges of the card. I backed the card with gold cardstock, which you can just see at the edges of the card. Finally, I added some flowers from a gorgeous set by Crate Paper, called Open Book Floral Ephemera. I spent most of August in France - away from my craft supplies, so to get my 'craft fix' I bought some new stash online instead. It was like Christmas when I got back from France!
