Sizzix & Cricut Pop-Up Tractor Christening Card

 This probably isn't your typical Christening card, but I was asked to make it by my farmer friend who's friends have decided to have their little boy Christened.
I used the Sizzix Pop n Cuts Horizontal A2 Card with Circle Label for the base, and a tractor from the Cricut Boys Will Be Boys cartridge.

For the background I used Papertrey Ink clouds, sun from L'il Inkers, and the stitched hills and cloud layer from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set.
I printed out the sentiment and used some Sizzix Framelits for the sentiment layers.

Reverse Confetti Bird Cards

A quick post today, to share a couple of cards I made a while back with some products from Reverse Confetti - the Big Stripes Tags Confetti Cuts, and The Tweet Life stamp and die set. The sentiment stamp is from Paper Smooches, and the flower punches are from Stampin' Up. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower centres, and black Enamel Accents for the bird eyes. For the bird, I fussy cut the patterned paper. I got the lovely woodgrain cardstock from Payperbox . I met the owner of the company earlier this year at the Stitches show at the NEC (in the UK), and he's the loveliest guy! His paper is really good value and really good quality. I made a second card, with similar products, using the Brushstrokes Birthday Greetings Dienamics die for the 'happy', which I coated with Versamark ink and Melt Art Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. Pop It Ups Christmas House and Sleigh Scene Card

This was another of those cards that just seem to design themselves - probably due to the beautiful products by Karen Burniston! I used the Lucy Label die to create the pop-up base from blue polka dot card stock, then die cut some extra layers of patterned card stock with the Outdoor Edges little fir trees die, and fitted them round the pop-up area. Most of the papers are from StudioLight's 'Scandinavian' 6x6 pad. I assembled a house from the Holiday House die set and attached it to the small pop-up tab on the shelf part. I then made a sledge from the Sleigh Gift Card Holder die set, and filled it with gifts, also cut with dies in the same set. The snowflakes are also from the sleigh set (with a Glitter Dot in the centre of each). At the foot of the card, I added some more patterned paper, ribbon, and a swirly border from the Banners and Borders die set. Karen Burniston's New Design Team First Challenge - House & Fence New Home Card

So, if you hadn't already heard, Karen Burniston of Sizzix Pop 'n Cuts and Elizabeth Craft Designs Pop It Ups fame now has her own die company, KB Riley LLC ! All of Karen's new die designs are as ingenious and fun to use as ever!! I'm happy to say that I'm on the Design Team for Karen's new company, where we will be having a Design Team Challenge on the first Tuesday of every month. The theme for our first ever challenge is 'Signature Style', so I decided to use a mixture of patterned papers, and create a little scene, incorporating bunting somewhere! I used Karen's new House & Fence Pop-Up  die set, which includes all the dies for creating this gorgeous little house. I used some paper backed hessian, and papers from Crate Paper's 'Oh Darling' 6x6 pad.
