Happy the Bear & Balloons Card - Purple Onion Designs Stamps

Image
A little card using some stamps by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs . I stamped the images onto patterned papers, added some details with Copics and White Signo Uniball pen, then cut them out by hand. I used foam pads to adhere some of the paper pieces, and added a grass strip cut with one of the dies from Pop It Ups Outdoor Edges set. Product Links:

Pop It Ups Farm Collection Fathers Day Box Cards

Image
I just spent a couple of fun hours this morning working on these box cards for my Dad, and husband's Dad.  I made the black cardstock boxes myself, with a score board, and added layers of white cardstock and chevron paper to the flaps.  I used Karen Burniston's Cheepers the Chicken die set, and cut parts from the Farm Greetings Clear Stamps, colouring details with Copics. I cut strips of clear acetate sheeting and used tape runner to attach hearts to the ends, and then attach the strips to the box card dividers. The hearts were cut with Tim Holtz's Heartfelt Bigz die. The card folds flat to fit in an envelope. Products links:

Papertrey Ink Cat & Sizzix Stand-Ups Card

Image
I had no plan in mind when I started making this card - just playing! I used the Sizzix Circle Stand-Ups card base, and also used it to cut some watercolour washed peach paper, and floral paper. (All the Papers are form Basic Grey's Fresh Cut 6x6 pad.) I used stamps and co-ordinating dies from Papertrey Ink, doing some fussy cutting round the cat and wool so there would still be white shadows. I added some black enamel to the eyes and nose and a couple of bits of ribbon to finish. Product links:

Karen Burniston's June 'What's In A Name' Challenge House Card

Image
This month's challenge from Karen Burniston is called 'What's In A Name' and each of the designers is to make a card using elements beginning with her name initials. My full name is Helen Caton (pronounced Kay-tun) Cryer, and I used the elements House, Clouds and Cow. I used Crate Paper patterned cardstock with the House Pivot die, for my card base. I added some more patterned paper cut with the grass die from the Outdoor Edges set, a Brownie the Cow, and used the House Pivot die to cut some extra fencing. Next I added clouds from the All Seasons Tree set, some bunting (banners), and tufts of grass from the Garden Bench set. For the front of the card, I used a stamp from the Farm Greetings Clear Stamps set, stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Product Links:

Pop it Ups Eileen Hull Vintage Trailer Birthday Card

Image
I made a vintage trailer pop-up card for Eileen Hull ages ago, based on her own trailer, Scotty. When she bought out a Sizzix Trailer die set recently, I had to get it!! It's so cute! I made a plain white card and die cut it with the Pop it Ups Lucy Label. I added patterned paper to the top and bottom of card, cut with dies from Karen Burniston's Outdoor Edges set. I added clouds from her All Season Tree set and a Lil' Inkers sun. I made the trailer up, inked the edges with Distress Ink, and stuck it to the pop out part. The papers are all from My Mind's Eye Kate & Co Cambridge Court. For the card front I just added some patterned paper, and a Sizzix tag. Finally, I added a 'Happy' from Papertrey Ink Type Strips stamp and die set, and 'Birthday' from a Mama Elephant die. Product Links:

Pop it Ups Farm Collection Box Card

Image
I received Karen Burniston's Farm Collection characters recently - they are such fun! I decided to make a box card using them. I've seen a few box cards around recently, and wanted to have a go at one. My friend Donna gave me the blank white pieces, cut on her Silhouette. I stamped the inside of the flaps with a Stampin' Up woodgrain stamp, and added patterned paper squares layered on black cardstock, to the outsides of the box. All the papers are from My Mind's Eye Kate & Co Cambridge Court 6x6 pad. I added the three characters to the inner division pieces. I stamped the three Farm Greetings Clear Stamps in black, and cut different sections from them, and layered them on black cardstock, with some of the details coloured with Copic pens. I then added some balloons cut with dies from the Sizzix Balloons Step-Ups Card set. For the balloon which Virgil the Pig is holding, I attached the balloon to a strip of acetate. And the card folds flat! I made an envelope (6'

Baby Girl Purple Onion Design Stamps Card

Image
I'm sharing another card today, using some of the new stamps by Stacey Yacula from Purple Onion Designs, plus some of their older stamps.  The new collection of stamps from Stacey Yacula is called  'Sweet Occasions'   and it includes stamps for all the major occasions and holidays throughout the year! The complete collection is available at a discounted set price for a limited time. The whole set (a whopping 25 stamps and a 20 piece sentiment set) will be $100.00. The discounted set price will only be available until Sunday 7th June, 2015. For my card, I used ' True and Blue ' - the gorgeous little duckling stamps from the collection. I used a sentiment stamp from the set, and a Noteblock stamp for the background. I coloured True and Blue with Copics and cut them out by hand. I used white embossing powder for the 'Baby Girl' sign, and layered everything up with foam tape and foam pads. Product links:
